Marschacht
The community march eight located in the center of the Lower Saxon Elbmarsch in the district of Harburg, about 30 km southeast of Hamburg and about 10 km northeast of Winsen (Luhe ) on the Elbe.

History
Incorporations
On 1 July 1972, the town of Malsch night by the merger of the municipalities Eichholz, Lower Marschacht, Upper march Eight was (until then in the district of Lüneburg), Oldershausen Ronne and re-formed.

Traffic
Road
March through the night B lead 404 ( Lüneburg- Geesthacht -A 25 - Kiel) and the provincial road 217 ( Artlenburg - Tespe march eight- Winsen ). Other district roads connect Marschacht with the surrounding area.
Rail transport
The train station in Winsen (Luhe ) now leads the OHE railway Winsen low- march night where the place in 1966 had a train station up to the task of passenger traffic and thus provided a connection to the railway network. Today is the, by Eichholz and Oldershausen leading used route exclusively for freight. Exception to the rule are merely historical train with the Heide- Express.
Bus
Numerous bus lines of the Hamburg Transport Association connect Marschacht with the surrounding area and the city of Hamburg.
