Marshall Brickman

Marshall Brickman ( born August 25, 1941 in Rio de Janeiro) is an American screenwriter and Oscar winner. In Germany he is primarily known for his collaborations with Woody Allen.

Life

After attending the University of Wisconsin -Madison in 1962, he was a member of the folk music group The Tarriers. After its dissolution in 1964, he joined the group The New Journeymen with John Phillips and Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas with made ​​careers later. From the mid- 1960s, his work began as a scriptwriter, first for television. During this time, the contact with Woody Allen, with whom he collaborated on several films, such as The Sleeper and The City EUR sufferers developed. For this film, he got together with all the Oscar for best original screenplay.

In the 1980s, Brickman has directed several films, made by own screenplays, and then re-wrote the screenplay for Manhattan Murder Mystery, another film by Woody Allen.
