Marshall is a city in the northeast of the U.S. state of Texas and is the county seat of administration ( county seat ) of Harrison County.

History

Marshall was founded in 1841 in the Republic of Texas. In 1860 it was already the fourth largest city in Texas. In the American Civil War were manufactured in Marshall saddles, boots, uniforms, gunpowder and ammunition for the Confederacy. After the fall of Vicksburg Marshall was the capital of the state of Missouri.

In December, a festival of lights is celebrated.
