Marshall Thompson

Marshall Thompson ( born November 27, 1925 in Peoria, Illinois, † 18 May 1992 in Royal Oak, Michigan ) was an American actor.

Life and work

Thompson was world famous for his role of the veterinarian in Africa Dr. Marsh Tracy in the television series Daktari ( an adapted translation of engl. " Doctor" in Swahili ). The series was filmed 1966-1969 and counted since they air in 1969 in Germany to the most popular series of the early 1970s. A total of 89 one-hour parts were broadcast.

Thompson died in 1992 of heart failure. He was after a romance with Elizabeth Taylor from 1948 until his death with actress Barbara Long, the sister of actor Richard Long, married. He left a daughter, Janet.
