MÃ¥rten Mickos

Mårten Mickos Gustaf ( born November 6, 1962 in Espoo, Finland) is senior vice president of Sun Microsystems, where he heads the Sun Database Group. Previously, he was, until the takeover by Sun, which was completed in February 2008, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Swedish company MySQL AB. He has held this post since January 2001. Prior to MySQL CEO Marten Mickos was at MatchON sport.

Mickos holds a Master's degree in engineering from the Technical University of Helsinki in Finland.
