Mart Halen ( in local dialect: Maartel ) is a municipality in the district of Andelfingen in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. The site of the village Marthalen the many still preserved half-timbered houses fall on.

Mart Halen is located in the Zürcher Weinland. The community Mart Halen covers an area of 1,414 hectares, the villages Mart Halen and Ellikon am Rhein, as well as the hamlets of low- Mart Halen and Radhof. Clubs

History

Show evidence shows that the area was probably inhabited since the Stone Age and Bronze Age. Remains of pots from a pit in Steinacker (Lower Mart Halen ) were the La Tène period are assigned. Agriculture, industry and transport
