Martí Joan de Galba

Martí Joan de Galba († 1490 ) was a Catalan aristocrat and co-author of the Valencian knight epic Tirant lo Blanc. The main author of the work, Joanot Martorell was a friend of Galba and entrusted him with the unfinished work shortly before his death in 1465 at the beginning. Galba completed and revised the work based on the left by Martorell notes and sketches. The exact proportion of Galba to the epic is unclear, however, it is believed that he wrote about in the last quarter and the previous original himself revised in some places, especially the gambling in North Africa episodes are attributed to Galba. Shortly after the death of Galba the epic was finally published in 1490.
