Marti Webb

Marti Webb ( born December 13, 1944 in Cricklewood, London) is an English musical singer.

She played in London in 1979, the Eva Peron in Evita and entered 1980 in Andrew Lloyd Webber's one-woman show Tell Me On A Sunday. In the same year she had with Take That Look Off Your Face, a song from the show, an international chart hit. The album of the show was very successful. Mid-80s had Marti Webb in England a chart comeback when she a cover of Michael Jackson's song Ben recorded in memory of a deceased cancer boy whose story had previously been shown on television. Another success was their version of the theme song Always There from the UK TV series Howards ' Way along with the Simon May Orchestra.
