Martin Erat

Martin Erat ( born August 28, 1981 in Třebíč, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player. Since March 2014, he plays for the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League for the position of left winger. His older brother Roman is also hockey players.

Career

Martin Erat was selected by the Nashville Predators NHL Entry Draft 1999 191 site. He set rookie records for completed games ( 80), assists (23) and points ( 32). After problems in the following season, Erat played mainly for the AHL farm team of the Nashville Predators, the Milwaukee Admirals. In the 2003 /04 season he returned to the Nashville Predators back and scored 16 goals and 33 assists, so 49 points, with which he occupied the fourth place in the team.

Due to the lockout he played in the 2004/05 season for the HC Hamé Zlín in his home in the Czech Republic, where he brought it to 20 goals, 23 assists and 43 points, which he was the third-best scorer on the team. From the NHL Season 2005/ 06 Martin Erat was an important part of the Nashville Predators. At the 2006 Olympics in Turin, he won the bronze medal with the Czech national team in the 2006 World Cup silver medal.

On April 3, 2013, was transferred together with Michael Latta in exchange for Filip Forsberg to the Washington Capitals. There he completed only 66 missions before being discharged to the Phoenix Coyotes in March 2014.
