Martin Fillo

Martin Fillo ( born February 7, 1986 in Plana ) is a Czech football player.

Career

Fillo began playing football at the Pilsen Sokol Košutka. At the age of eight he moved to Pilsen SK 1894, in 1996 he became the biggest club in the city, the FC Viktoria Plzen committed. There he went through the youth teams and was included in the senior squad in early 2004. In the Gambrinus League striker at the age of 18 years, made ​​his debut on 15 March 2004 at 1:2 against Banik Ostrava. Even in his second nine days later he scored his first goal in the professional sector. Henceforth, he certainly had a regular place. However, the relegation of his team could not prevent Fillo. In the season 2004/ 05 he scored in 25 second division games five goals, thus contributing to an immediate revival of his club. Both in the season 2005/ 06 and 2006/ 07 he was one of the best offensive players of his team and was appointed to the Czech Under-21 national team.

In December 2007, he signed a five- year contract with the Norwegian top club Viking Stavanger. The transfer fee was reported to Norwegian media at 10 million Norwegian kroner, approximately 1.3 million Euro in Czech media was of almost two million euro talk. In his first season in Stavanger, the attacker fired six goals in 24 league games. After three years in Norway Fillo returned in early 2011 back to Pilsen. On 28 January 2012, he was awarded by FC Viktoria Plzen at the League rivals FK Mladá Boleslav.
