Martin Galway

Martin Galway ( born January 3, 1966 in Belfast ) is a Northern Irish composer of music for computer games.

He began his musical career in 1983 on the BBC Micro; In 1984 he switched to the C64, on which he programmed chiptunes for the SID sound chip. He wrote, among other things, the soundtrack to such well-known games such as Arkanoid (1986 ), Wizball (1987) Slap Fight ( 1987) and Yie Ar Kung- Fu. Later he switched to the PC, and wrote, among other things, the music for some of the more well-known games by Origin, such as Times of Lore and the Ultima series. Even the music for some of the games of the Wing Commander series comes from him.

Galway is still active today and has some Microsoft games set to music.
