Martin Hiden ( born March 11, 1973 in Vienna) is a former Austrian football player and current football coach. He is currently employed as a coach at FC Traun.

Playing career
Martin Hiden started his football career in his home town of St. Stefan ob Stainz. In August Starek the young players in 1992 regulars at SK Sturm Graz in the Bundesliga. His first major title was won by the defender in 1995 with the Austrian championship in his second professional club, SV Austria Salzburg. In 1998 he made the jump as a second Austrian to Leeds United in the FA Premier League.
After his debut in the Austrian national team in March 1998 against Hungary was Martin Hiden as a substitute even in the squad of the 1998 World Cup in France. After three years in England monitored by the defender returned to Austria in 2000 and joined the Vienna Austria on. In Vienna in 2003 succeeded in winning the doubles, there he moved to city rivals Rapid, where as the championship trophy was won in 2005.
Although Martin Hiden rose to the captain, he was increasingly pushed at Rapid 2007 in the reserve role, so he switched to SK Austria Kärnten, where he successfully mastered the relegation battle. Although he came as Carinthian no longer in the national team for the train, but was nevertheless convened on 28 May 2008 in the Austrian squad for the 2008 European Championship and came in the third game of the preliminary round against Germany also used. After the end of the lending agreement with Carinthia in 2008 he came back to Rapid Vienna, where he graduated in only four games of the season comeback. On 31 August 2009 Hiden moved again to Carinthia. After he came in 11 out of 19 league games in the fall to use his contract was terminated in mid.
For the 2010/11 season Martin Hiden moved back to Salzburg at the Red Bull Juniors in the Regionalliga West. In 1995, he had celebrated with the previous club Austria Salzburg his first Austrian Championship title. With the Juniors he won the title as captain of the West Regional and the Salzburg football cup before it, despite the current contract until 2012, ended his career as a professional footballer in June 2011 and moved into coaching.

Coaching career
After Martin Hiden ended his career in June 2011, he joined the coaching staff of the Red Bull Juniors Salzburg. There he took over after coach Gerald Baumgartner the post of assistant coach. In January 2012 both changed to Salzburg partners FC Traun, who competes currently in the regional center.
