Martin Jetter

Martin Jetter (* 1959) was from November 2006 to May 2011 CEO of IBM Germany GmbH. He then joined as Chief Strategy Officer of IBM Corporation in the corporate headquarters in Armonk. Since May 2012, he leads IBM Japan was the first non-Japanese for 56 years.

Life

Jetter studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Stuttgart and graduated with a diploma. In 1986 he came to IBM. He rose to become General Manager North East Europe of the IBM Global Business Services, Germany before he was chief in 2006. In 2011 he handed over the reins of IBM Germany Martina Koederitz.

Jetter is a member of numerous committees and associations, such as the Bureau of BITKOM Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media eV, the Board of Trustees of the Convention in Germany eV, the board of the Donors' Association for German Science, the University Council of the University of Reutlingen, the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Support of the Semperoper Dresden, the Friends and Sponsors eV Deutsches Museum, the Board of Trustees of Munich Concert Society Association and the Board of Trustees Deutsches Museum in Munich.
