Martin Kohli

Martin Kohli ( born May 8, 1942 in Solothurn ) is a Swiss sociologist and teaches since October 2004 at the European University Institute in Florence.

Life

Martin Kohli had from 1977 to 2004 a Chair ( by last C4) hold for Sociology at the Free University of Berlin. In 1985 he founded the Free University of Berlin, Research Group Aging and the Life and led since then.

Commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, in collaboration with the research group Psychogerontology the Radboud University Nijmegen, this research group rose from 1994 to 1997 the first wave of the German Ageing Survey. Martin Kohli supports the publication of the journal BIOS.
