Martin Lidberg

Johan Martin Lidberg ( born February 1, 1973 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish wrestler. He obtained also the winner of the Swedish edition of the program Let's Dance fame.

Sports career

Martin Lidberg took between 1993 and 2003 regularly in the European Championships and World Championships in wrestling in part, in 2003, he won the first place, which is the biggest success of his career. At the Olympic Games three times he took part namely 1996, 2000 and 2004. In Athens he had to the semi-finals the Russians Gogi Kogushvili beaten, whereupon he announced to no longer want to participate in the Olympic Games.

Dance competitions

Cecilia Ehrling was Lidbergs professional dance partner during the second season of the Swedish edition of Let 's Dance. With his tango performance, the pair reached with 40 points, the highest possible rating jury and won the competition ahead of TV presenter Tobbe Bloom and Annika Sjöö. With this victory, the pair qualified automatically as Swedish representative at the Euro Vision Dance Contest on September 1, 2007 in London. They represented a Paso Doble and the dancing disco fusion before, but could not convince the European viewers thus: Ehrling and Lidberg got 23 points and came thus to the 14th place among 16 participants.
