Martin Lynes
Martin Lynes ( born January 21, 1968 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian actor.
Life
Martin Lynes grew up in Perth, Western Australia. In his youth he was interested in sports and surfing. At the age of 15 he left school and traveled first with a friend by Australia. On his return to Perth, he attended a comedy workshop, where he made his first acting experiences.
He completed his acting training at the National Institute of Dramatic Art ( NIDA ) in Sydney, where he graduated in 1994 with the degree in acting. This was followed by some theater engagements. At the Marian Street Theatre in Sydney, he played in a production of the play The Club of the Australian playwright David Williamson. In 1996 he played at the Sydney Festival in a stage version of Lady Chatterley. In 1997 he played at the Stables Theatre in Sydney in a production of This is the sea.
From 1998 to 2004 he played Dr. Luke Forlano in the hospital drama All Saints. In the series he played a surgeon several times unsuccessfully applied for the chief doctor items. The role was Lynes ' first continuous series role. On German television, he is best known for his role as Coach Simmo, the cool owner and trainer of Solar Blue Surf School, in the series Blue Water High. Lynes also worked as an actor, director and producer of several short films produced, among others, Know Your Destiny and Ask muff.
Lynes is married to the producer and director Marie Patane and father of a child. At times, he was romantically involved with Australian actress Belinda Emmett.
