Martin Meichelbeck

Martin Meichelbeck ( born November 21, 1976 in Bamberg ) is a former German football player. He was preferably used as a central defender or as a left defender.

A native of Franconia Meichelbeck played as a teenager, first for the FC construction demand (until 1992 ), then for the first FC Nuremberg ( in the 1992/93 season ). The next stops were then the first FC Bamberg ( 1993-1996) and Jahn Forchheim (1996-1998 ). His professional career began in 1998 at second division SpVgg Greuther Fürth, for whom he played until 2000 before moving to VfL Bochum for a transfer fee of 650,000 euros.

For Westphalia Meichelbeck played from 2000 to 2008 a total of 89 games in the first Bundesliga, scoring four goals, just two games in the UEFA Cup and a game for the World Cup team in 2006 against Turkey.
