Martin Richards (computer scientist)

Martin Richards ( born July 21, 1940) is a British computer scientist.

Richards studied at Cambridge University mathematics and computer science. For his dissertation in 1967 (The design and implementation of CPL -like programming languages ​​), he developed the BCPL programming language. She was the starting point for the development of the B programming language by Ken Thompson ( 1969), which was then further developed by Dennis Ritchie at C.
