Martin Shaw (composer)

Martin Shaw OBE FRCM ( born March 9, 1875 in London, † October 24, 1958 in Southwold ) was an English composer, especially of sacred music.

Work

He has published over 300 works, including more than 100 songs, some of them for children. The Oxford Book of Carols, he published along with Percy Dearmer and Ralph Vaughan Williams.

Family

His brother was the composer Geoffrey Shaw, nephew of actor Sebastian Shaw and his grandson, the actor Robert Shaw and the rock musician Mont Campbell.
