Martin Smolinski

Martin Smolinski ( born December 6, 1984 in Munich) is a German speedway rider. His biggest single success was winning the German championship in 2007 in Stralsund and 2009 in Landshut. He currently drives in the Speedway Premier League for the AC Landshut, in the Polish League for Unibax Toruń and in the Swedish League for Hammarby IF. In 2010 he drove for the Coventry Bees and since 2012 for the Birmingham Brummies in the British professional league. As the first German speedway rider ever, Martin Smolinski qualified for the Speedway World Championship Grand Prix 2014. With his partner Kevin Wölbert he won in 2013 in Herxheim the pair Speedway Championship finals. 2012 Smolinski was also still Long Course World Championship runner.
