Martin Spanring

Martin clamping ring ( born October 14, 1969) is a former German football player.

The defender started his career in the youth of the TSV 1860 München. From there, he succeeded in 1988 made ​​it into the first team of the " lions ". After a year in Munich, he joined the newly promoted Bundesliga Fortuna Dusseldorf. There he was U-21 national team and other Bundesliga clubs fell on. Against Denmark, he sat in the DFB team on the bench, but was an unused substitute.

In 1997 he moved to VfB Stuttgart, but was due to many injury problems not back to his good form from Freiburg times. In the 1999/2000 season he played no match for the Swabians due to differences with the coach. After four mediocre years in the Swabian club, with the finals in the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1997/98 as the climax, he moved to Turkey for Bursaspor Club, which was coached by Jörg Berger. There he remained, however, not even an entire season because of the Turkish club failed to meet its payment obligations. To keep fit, he then moved to Freiburg FC, ​​where in 2002 he ended his career for good. In the 04/05 season he helped the county league A SV Kenzingen only once in the last 4 season games.

In total he played 172 league games in which he scored ten goals. Injury problems ensured numerous forced breaks in his career.

Since the end of his active career, he worked as a sports manager at Europa-Park in Rust.
