Martin Trunz

Trunz Martin ( born 2 May 1970) is a retired Swiss ski jumper.

Trunz, who started for the ski club Brunnadern, began his career in the ski jumping World Cup in February 1990 at three competitions in Switzerland. His first jump, he completed on 7 February 1990 in St. Moritz. A year later, he took part in the 1991 Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme. This Trunz jumped on the normal hill on the 25th and from the large hill at the 48th place. In the team competition, he jumped together with Benz Hauswirth, Yvan Vouillamoz and Stephan ignition on the 6th Place. At the start of the World Cup season 1991/92 he jumped into Thunder Bay in two competitions on the 9th Place and so won his first World Cup points. On January 12, 1992, he jumped in the team jumping in Predazzo together with Sylvain free wood, Yvan Vouillamoz and Stephan ignition for the first time on the podium. But he was able to build on this success again neither team still in the individual competition.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Albertville in 1992 Trunz belonged to the squad of Switzerland and jumped on the normal hill on the 41st and from the large hill at the 31st place. In the team competition, he jumped together with Markus Gähler, Sylvain free wood and Stephan ignition on the 8th Place.

The jumping after the games were unsuccessful for Trunz. Despite this, he finished the season in 23rd place in the overall World Cup standings. On this success, he was not able. In the following four years he landed mostly on mediocre rankings. Point gains were rather rare. In the Ski Flying World Championships 1992 in Harrachov Trunz flew again on the 6th Place. Despite lack of success he belonged to the squad for the 1993 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun, Sweden. He jumped on the normal hill on the 38th and on the big hill on the 26th place.
