Martina Schwarz ( born September 1, 1960 in Parchim, born as Martina Schmidt) is a former German volleyball and beach volleyball player.

Sporting career Hall

Martina Schwarz played volleyball since 1974 at SC Traktor Schwerin, with which it seven times GDR champion. With the East German national team she won in 1980 at the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1983 and the silver medal in their own country European champions. After the fall of the GDR, the setter played in the Bundesliga at the Alster VG - Harksheide and from 1996 to the first VC Norderstedt.

With her teammates, she was in 1980 for winning the silver medal at the Olympic Games awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.

Sporting career Beach

Martina Schwarz played in the sand since 1992 on the side of Beate Paetow and was immediately in their first two years of German champion.

Private

Martina Schwarz's son Christopher is also volleyball and beach volleyball player.
