Marvin Andrews

Marvin Andrews ( born December 22, 1975 in San Juan, Trinidad and Tobago) is a soccer player from Trinidad and Tobago. Andrews is a very physically present and aerially strong defender and currently at Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Premier League active.

Club career

Andrews began his professional career at San Juan Jabloteh and later at FC Carib in his homeland.

In 1997, he left Trinidad in the direction of Scotland, in the Premier League to the Raith Rovers. He sat down quickly and played some good seasons for the Rovers; 1999/2000 he was voted the best player of the club, but at the end of the season the club went into bankruptcy. F. C. Andrews moved to Livingston in the Scottish First Division and the Club succeeded in the first season of Andrews 2000/ 01 promotion to the Premier League. Also in Livingston succeeded Andrews quickly become a leading player. In the season 2003/ 04 he was voted the best player of the club, as he led the club to the first title in club history, the Scottish Cup win.

For the season 2004 /05 he picked up the Glasgow Rangers. As with his first two clubs in Scotland, he was the chief of the defense quickly and, as he, against the advice of his doctor ran aground after a knee ligament injury for the Rangers, one of the most popular players with the fans. This also chose him after winning the Championship in 2004 /05 best player in the Rangers. For the Rangers, he played in the 2005/06 season four games in the UEFA Champions League. In July 2006, he was released by the club.

Then he returned to the Raith Rovers. Currently the club plays in the Scottish Second Division. Andrews is one of the most important players in the squad.

In summer 2009, he moved to Hamilton Academical.

National

Since his debut against Colombia on 21 March 1996 he played 100 times for the selection of his country, scoring ten goals. His 100th game he played on 10 June 2009 against Mexico. He is a regular player in the selection of his country and was nominated for the final round -up from their home country for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
