Marvin David Levy

Marvin David Levy ( born 1932 in Passaic, New Jersey) is an American composer.

Levy studied at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City and New York University. He was instrumental in the founding of Fort Lauderdale Opera, where he also conducted. His opera Mourning Becomes Electra was premiered in 1967 at the re-opening of the Metropolitan Opera in their new home.
