Mary Beth Ellis

Mary Beth Ellis ( born July 12, 1977 in Washington, DC) is an American triathlete and multiple Ironman champion ( 2011, 2012, 2013).

Career

Mary Beth Ellis started in 2005 at their first triathlon and since 2006 as a professional athlete.

2008 and again in 2009, she was Triathlon World runner-up in Florida. Today you will start for the team TBB. Her nickname is "MB".

On her first Ironman start (3.86 km swim, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) they could achieve in Klagenfurt with a new course for women at the same time also the fastest debut in the history of Ironman in July 2011: You is with her winning time of 8:43:34 hours behind Chrissie Wellington and Rebekah Keat the third fastest woman on the Ironman distance. Just four weeks after its launch in Klagenfurt she won in August the second victory on the long distance in Regensburg. In August, she presented at Ironman Canada with her winning time a new course record and won their third gold medal this year.

Mary Beth Ellis now lives in Boulder.
