Mary Boland

Mary Anne Boland ( born January 28, 1880 in Detroit, Michigan, † June 23, 1965 in New York City, New York ) was an American actress.

Life

You already gave her film debut in 1915. In the 1930s and 1940s she starred alongside Charles Laughton, Gary Cooper, Laurel and Hardy, Norma Shearer and Bing Crosby. Beginning of the 1930s she made at the time with Charles Ruggles a popular screen couple in a number of cost- produced comedies. While Boland, as a rule, as in other films the type of domineering wife took over, Ruggles played the long- suffering, oppressed husband. Their most famous roles they played in 1939 in the women and a year later, as Mrs. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. In addition, the actress from 1907 to 1954 occurred again and again on Broadway. Last we saw Mary Boland in television productions. In 1955 she retired into private life. Mary Boland has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame ( 6150 Hollywood Blvd. )
