Mary Bono

Mary Bono Mack ( born October 24, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American politician. From 1998 to 2013, she represented the state of California in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Even as a toddler in 1963, Mary Whitaker, ye maiden name, came to South Pasadena, California. Until 1984 she studied at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles art history. She then worked as a restaurant manager and fitness instructor. She was also a member of the jury of the International Film Festival in Palm Springs. In 1986, she married musician and later Congressman Sonny Bono. Like her husband, she was also a member of the Republican Party.

After the death of her husband, who died during his tenure, it was at the due election for the 44th seat of California as his successor in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC selected, in which they moved on 7 April 1998. From 2003, she represented there in place of Dana Rohrabacher the 45th constituency of their state. Mary Bono was a member of the Committee on Energy and Commerce as well as in three sub-committees. Between 2001 and 2005 she was married to businessman Glenn Baxley. This marriage ended in divorce in 2005. In December 2007, she married Congressman Connie Mack of Florida. So she is the daughter of former U.S. Senator Connie Mack III. From her first marriage to Sonny Bono she has two children.
