Mary Frances Schervier

Franziska shear Four ( born January 3, 1819 in Aachen, † December 14, 1876 in Aachen ) was the founder of the Poor Sisters of St. Francis.

Life

Franziska shear Four was the daughter of the needle manufacturer Johann Heinrich shear Four (1784-1845) and his wife Marie Louise Victoire Migeon ( 1781-1832 ). My godfather was the Emperor Franz I of Austria.

It belonged ( as her friends Clara Fey, Pauline von Mallinckrodt - both as students of Luise Hensel - and Josephine Koch) to the pioneering figures in the charitable and social movement of the 19th century and distinguished himself from his youth in piety and great charities from. Their example was St. Francis of Assisi. On October 3, 1845 began with four like-minded girls a common monastic life, in which they put a lot of emphasis in Nursing ( cholera and smallpox patient ).
