Mary-Louise Parker

Mary- Louise Parker ( born August 2, 1964 in Fort Jackson, South Carolina ) is an American actress and Golden Globe -winning actress.

Acting Career

Her acting debut was in 1975 Parker in the television series Ryan's Hope. For her role of tablets dependent Harper Pitt in the TV miniseries Angels in America, she received both an Emmy and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in 2003. Two years later she won for her portrayal of Nancy Botwin in the television series Weeds another Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy. She also plays regularly Theater on Broadway in New York City and got 2004 for her performance in the stage play Proof a Tony Award for Best Actress.

Personal

Between 1996 and 2003 Parker was romantically involved with actor Billy Crudup. On January 7, 2004 William Atticus was born after Crudup Parker had left two months earlier. In December 2006, she began a relationship with actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, whom she met on the set of Weeds. The relationship lasted until April 2008.

In September 2007, Parker adopted a girl from Ethiopia, which goes by the name of Caroline "Ash" Aberash Parker.
