Mary Proctor
Mary Proctor (* 1862, Dublin, † September 11, 1957 ) was an Irish -born American astronomer and writer.
She was the daughter of Richard Anthony Proctor, a well-known author. Like her father, Mary Proctor wrote many articles for newspapers and wrote a number of popular scientific astronomical works.
In her memory the lunar crater Proctor was named after her ( the Martian crater Proctor was named after her father ).
