Marysville is a city in the U.S. state of California in Yuba County, whose headquarters it is. It has about 12,500 inhabitants ( 2004) on an area of 9.4 km ². The town lies at the mouth of the Yuba River into the Feather River. On the opposite west bank of the Feather River is the much larger sister city of Yuba City.

Named Marysville is Mary Murphy Covillaud, a survivor of the Donner Party, a group of settlers that survived the winter 1846/47 in the Sierra Nevada only by cannibalism. The California Gold Rush Marysville was an important place on the way to the northern goldfields.
