Geography
The community is located one half each in the Munich gravel plain and tertiary Donau -Isar hill country between the rivers Isar and Amper. It is adjacent to the urban area of the district town of Freising. Marzling has 10 other parts of communes: Brunn Mayrhofen, Eixendorf, Goldhausen, Hangenham, Hirschau, Jaibling, Riegerau / Riedhof, Rudlfing, Stoiber mill and sub Bergshausen.
History
Marzling was first mentioned in 804 as in the possession of the Freising Cathedral. Since the mid-12th century it was a Hofmark of the Bishopric of Freising and was from then on until the secularization in 1803 the cathedral chapter and the Bishopric of Freising. Marzling in 1818 in the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, an independent political community.
On 1 January 1972 parts of the territory of the former municipality Rudlfing were incorporated.

Predecessor by Dieter Werner, Michael Schwaiger ( CSU / CDU), meanwhile, District Administrator of Freising. In 2002 he became successor by August Meier Hart ( Party Free citizens ) in the year.
The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 1,089,000 in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted € 98,000.
Community partnership
Since 2006 there is a community partnership with the Italian community of San Zeno Italy degli Ezzelinis in the province of Treviso.

The Catholic parish church of St. Martin in Marzling was built in the late Middle Ages, a late Gothic building; remodeled in the Baroque period in 1715 and extended in 1864. Around 1720, stucco, Nicholas Liechtenfurtner attributed. Remarkable testimony of centuries, everyday cultural practices in place is the beautiful grounds of the old farmer in the center. The building dates from about the middle of the 19th century and is - in addition to some changes in farmhouses - one of the last testimonies of profane history. Schoolhouse and parsonage from the earlier 20th century fell victim to new buildings. With the demolished by the local government in March 2010, the building of the old host, the municipality officially lost one of the most important witnesses of their own history. At this location, the new town hall of the municipality Marzling arises.
The municipality is the recreation area Stoiber mill ( lake, beer garden). In Rudlfing a former pilgrimage church (St. Mary), in Hangenham a house of nature lovers with good views located on the Erdinger Moos. Also worth mentioning is the slope hammer church with a cycle of frescoes from the 14th century.
Economy and infrastructure
The proximity to Freising and convenient connections (B 11), the municipality has become a favorite place of residence for commuters.
The municipality has a breakpoint for regional trains on the railway line Munich -Landshut and belongs to the area of the Munich Transport Association MVV. This previously located in a curve breakpoint was newly built by January to December 2007 with a platform length of 210 m elsewhere. The two outer platforms were thereby tied both of the new road bridge, as well as a in 2006 newly built pedestrian and bicycle underpass. A small part of the site of the airport of Munich is located in the municipal area. - The Hans Binder Maschinenbau GmbH designs, develops and manufactures since 1950 drying systems.
- IS2 AG (Intelligent Solution Services AG ) since 1990 software systems for the distribution of insurance companies, sales organizations and banks. iS2 offers its customers services (project management, conception, design, development, test ), standard systems and components ( cores, Webservices, iServices ). The company was initially settled with a small office in the Freisingerstraße. Since 1992, the company is based on the baker's Anger 2 iS2 is the employer for about 45 employees.
