Masahito Suzuki (ice hockey)

Masahito Suzuki (铃木 雅 仁Japanese, Suzuki, Masahito; born December 7, 1983 in Tomakomai, Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese hockey player, who is since 2009 in the Tohoku Free Blades Ice Hockey League in Asia under contract.

Career

Masahito Suzuki began his career as a hockey player with the Ōji Eagles, for which he was active from 2006 to 2009 in the Asia League Ice Hockey. In the 2007 /08 season, the attacker won with his team in the playoff final against the Nippon Paper Cranes of Asia League championship. For the 2009/10 season, the Japanese joined the League rookie Tohoku Free Blades, for which he scored nine goals in 33 games and had 15 assists. In the 2010/11 season, which ended prematurely due to the Tōhoku earthquake, he won for the first time with the Free Blades and a total for the second time in his career, the champion of the Asia League Ice Hockey.

Internationally

For Japan, Suzuki took part in the Asian Winter Games in 2011, where he won the silver medal with his team. In addition, he was in his country's squad at the World Championship of Division IA in 2012.
