Masamichi Amano

Masamicz Amano (Japanese天野 正道, Masamichi Amano, born January 26, 1957 in Akita, Akita Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese composer.

At the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo, he completed his studies and graduated in 1982. During his studies he already got a composition prize, the Takeoka Prize awarded.

After his studies, he was first in Australia and there at CMI ( Computer Music Instrument ) operates. He now works primarily in Europe and is active as a conductor ( Filharmonia Polish National National Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra since 1992 and Orchestre de Chambre de Versailles ) and produced recordings of his works. He has received commissions from Warsaw Brass, Classic Torio, Paderewski Festival and others. In the area of the band he worked as an arranger of works by Akira Miyoshi, Akio Yashiro, Toshiro Mayuzumi, Bela Bartok and Maurice Ravel. After that, he also composed his own works. Numerous works were written for symphonic wind orchestra, recorded by the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra and are used in the musical competitions in the All- Japan Band Association,.
