Masanobu Ando

Masanobu Ando (Japanese安藤 政 信, Ando Masanobu, born May 19, 1975 in Kawasaki ) is a Japanese actor and director.

Biography

His breakthrough as an actor managed Ando 1996 Kids Return, a film by Takeshi Kitano, for which he won in 1997 as best young actor with the Japanese Academy Award. After a variety of different roles, such as that of a robber in Space Travelers followed (2000 ) and Drive (2002), a doctor in Transparent ( 2001), a ninja in Red Shadow ( 2001) or even a dead body in Monday (2000 ). German fans, he is known primarily as Kazuo Kiriyama, the heartless psychopath Kinji Fukasaku's cult film from Battle Royale ( 2000).
