Masein

Masein is a municipality in the district of Thusis in the district of Rhein Behind the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. Masein consists of the districts: Oberndorf, Ausserdorf, sub- village, Cresta, Dalaus and Crestalunga.

Geography

Masein is located on a slope of the hill just west of Heinz Thusis. In addition to the two districts of upper and lower village are still lying south of the main settlement hamlet Crestalunga and Dalaus, castle Tagstein and the eastern from the village hamlet of Cresta and Lochmühli to the community. Of the total municipal area of ​​419 ha 218 ha of woods and forests are covered. Another 161 hectares are used for agriculture. In addition to 25 ha settlement area there are 15 hectares of unproductive area.
