Masevaux

Masevaux ( German Masmünster ) is a commune with 3338 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It is the capital of the eponymous canton Masevaux and seat of the municipality Association Vallée de la Doller et Soultzbach.

Geography

The municipality is located in the southeastern Masevaux Vosges. The Valley of the Doller widens here before entry into the lowlands of the Upper Rhine Plain. Which borders on the southwest by the Franche-Comté region municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges.
