Mason County (Kentucky)

Mason County is a county located in the state of Kentucky in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Maysville, which was named after John May, who donated the land to the city's founding.

History

Mason County was formed on November 5, 1788 from portions of Bourbon County. It was named after George Mason, a political leader.
