Mason Novick

Mason Novick ( born December 20, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American film producer.

Life

One of the first projects that produced Novick, included The Hollow and the thriller Red Eye by Wes Craven. Novick discovered the blog of the young writer Diablo Cody on the Internet and called her then, to ask them to cooperate. Cody wrote below the screenplay for the comedy Juno, which was released in 2007. For the film, Novick was nominated at the Academy Awards 2008, along with Lianne Halfon and Russell Smith for an Oscar in the category of Best Film. He also won prizes at the Independent Spirit Awards and the Christopher Award and received a nomination at the PGA Awards.

After the employees Novick on other projects such as the horror movies Solstice and Insanitarium or the indie film ( 500 ) Days of Summer, for which he received a re- nomination for the Independent Spirit Awards 2010, he worked in 2009 for the film Jennifer 's Body - boys after their taste, in which Megan Fox played the lead role, again with author Cody together.
