Masoud Azizi

Massoud Azizi (born 2 February 1985) is an Afghan athlete. He was a member of the five-member team, with which Afghanistan in 2004 for the first time took part in Athens since the Olympics again in 1996 summer games.

Azizi was discovered in 2003 during training at the stadium of the Afghan capital Kabul from Zoi Livaditou, a representative of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Afghanistan. At her instigation and invitation of the International Olympic Committee Azizi received the opportunity to prepare in Greece for the Olympic Games in 2004 along with four other Afghan athletes.

Under the guidance of Grigoris account, the former coach of the Greek 200 -meter Olympic champion Konstantinos Kenteris, succeeded Azizi within three months of his time over 100 m of 11.74 seconds to improve on 11.16 seconds. This time he could not reach the Olympic lead on 21 August 2004. With 11.66 seconds he was seventh of its forward travel. In the final account Azizi came on the 79th.

The following year he took part in the 16th Incheon Asian Games, but also failed in the flow. In 2008 he took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing on 100 - meter race.
