Mass in C major (Beethoven)
The Mass in C major, Opus 86 was written by Ludwig van Beethoven from March to August 1807 commissioned by Prince Nikolaus II Esterházy name day of his wife Maria Josepha of Liechtenstein Hermengilde.
Beethoven was the time of the composition of his first Mass setting under the model of composed by his teacher Joseph Haydn fairs, which he regarded as " inimitable masterpieces " and during his composition work also studied.
