Massachusetts Route 1A

The Massachusetts Route 1A is an axis extending in a north-south direction State Route in the state of Massachusetts in the United States. It is designed as an alternative route to U.S. Highway 1 and partially identical in its course with this, which is why the Route 1A is doubly broken and not reported continuously. Due to the reorganization by the Big Dig in the city of Boston, the route is there also interrupted. The older tunnels to and from East Boston have intersections to I- 93 and road links to a point north of the point where the non-specified as such Route 1A branches off from Route 1 in Boston town center. A connection to Route 1A is on the I-90 and the newer Ted Williams Tunnel possible.
