Massen-Niederlausitz

Mass Lower Lusatia ( Sorbian: Mašow ) is an official belonging to municipality in the Elbe -Elster in southern Brandenburg and administrative headquarters of the Office Small Magpie ( Lower). The community is only 1998-2001 created by merger and integration of several small office, national communities.

Geography

Mass Lower Lusatia lies in the southeastern part of the district Elbe- Elster in the immediate vicinity of the city Finsterwalde.

The largest cities in the surrounding neighborhood are the City Finsterwalde, which borders the west directly to the masses, Senftenberg 32 km south-east, Lauchhammer, 26 km south and 42 km north Lübbenau. The nearest large town is Cottbus, which is 52 km north-east from the village masses.

History

As part of the education offices in 1992 in Brandenburg, the Office Kleine Elster, 1995 in Office Small Magpie ( Lower) was renamed on 21 July 1992. A total of 14 municipalities were merged in to a management network. The municipality mass Lower Lusatia was on 31 December 1997 by the merger of the official communities belonging Babben, beds, Lindthal and masses. December 31, 2001 Gröbitz and Ponnsdorf were added. On April 3, 1995, the seat of the Office of beds was moved masses in the church.

Historical monument

Mass Lower Lusatia has a monument in 1967 on the forest cemetery that is reminiscent of the perished French and Polish forced laborers and prisoners of war, who lived during the Second World War in two camps and were doing forced labor for the Finsterwalder GmbH.

Economy

Masses has an extensive commercial and industrial park, which is located next to the state road 96. One of the largest newly established company is the Canadian auto parts producer INTIER, which is part of the Austrian-Canadian Magna group. The company INTIER invested in 2006, 40 million euros in the construction of a new office in the municipality of mass Lower Lusatia. INTIER produces plastic and interior parts for many car manufacturers such as BMW. In March 2007, production began with 48 employees. Up to 200 employees will work in the future here.

Motorways and trunk roads

Through mass Lower Lusatia the federal highway 96 leads ( Zittau - Sassnitz on Rügen). The connection points Bronkow and Grossraeschen Highway 13 (Berlin - Dresden) are 17 km and 18 km away.

Rail traffic

The closest railway station of mass Lower Lusatia is the directly adjacent Finsterwalde, which is connected to the electrified railway Halle- Cottbus.

Public transport

The public transport (PT ) operate buses MAGPIE - transport mbh from Finsterwalde ( Grabin ).

Masses has a base coat and a top school.

Sports

The TSV Germania masses ( Gymnastics and Sports Club Germania masses eV ) is a sports club in the district of masses. The club was founded in 1902 as Turnverein Germania and is now about 150 members. The association is divided into the departments handball, fist ball, carnival, football and women's gymnastics.
