Massimiliano Narducci

Massimiliano Narducci ( born February 25, 1964 in Ascoli Piceno ) is an Italian former tennis player.

Life

Narducci joined in 1982 at the junior tournament of the U.S. Open, but failed in an individual already in the first round to Ronald Agenor. In doubles, he reached the quarter-finals. On the ATP World Tour for the first time in 1985, he could have a notable success when he reached the quarterfinals at the tournament of Bologna. Two years later, he reached the second round at the same place, ran his career total at this time, however, disappointing. After numerous Erstrundenniederlagen sensational succeeded him in May 1988, the tournament victory as a local hero in Florence. Here, he suggested, among others, Marcelo Filippini, Jaime Yzaga and in the final Claudio Panatta. Subsequently, he managed not to hold its shape, and so after this tournament win was his best result of the rest of the year 1988, a second round participation in Palermo. In 1989 he joined to together with Omar Camporese in Milan and at the Monte Carlo Masters, she reached the semi-finals respectively, while the quarter-finals. However Camporese sought in the impact of other doubles partner and Narducci sought his fortune reinforced on the ATP Challenger Tour. When Challenger tournament in Modena, he moved into the semi-finals in Pescara still the quarter-finals. But then piled up on the ATP Challenger Tour, the first-and second-round defeats. Most recently, he appeared on unterklassigen ATP satellite tournaments before his pro career ended in 1991. Its highest listing in the tennis world ranking he reached in 1988 with position 77 in the singles and in 1989 with position 122 in doubles.

His best individual result at a Grand Slam tournament was reaching the second round of the Australian Open and the French Open in 1988. The other two tournaments in the same year he retired from each in the first round. 1988 was the only year in which he failed to qualify for the four Grand Slam tournaments.

Narducci occurred in 1989 in the first round game of the Davis Cup World Group for Italy. In the game in Sweden, he lost both his singles matches against Mikael Pernfors and Jonas Svensson each just in five sets. Sweden won the game 4-1. This remained the only use Narduccis in the Davis Cup.
