Massimo Ambrosini

Massimo Ambrosini ( * May 29, 1977 in Pesaro ( PU), Italy) is an Italian football player.

Career

In the club

Ambrosini began his career in the 1994/95 season in the Serie B club AC Cesena. In 1995 he moved to AC Milan. In order to gain match practice, he was a year later loaned to Vicenza Calcio. In the 1998/99 season he returned to Milan and was there to fight for a regular place. With Milan Ambrosini was four times champion ( 1996, 1999, 2004, 2011), Cup Winners' Cup (2003 ), Italian Supercup winner (2004) and was twice the UEFA Champions League (2003, 2007) and the European Super Cup ( 2003, 2007 ) and the Club world Cup (2007) winning.

After expiry of his contract on June 30, 2013 Ambrosini left the club and moved on to league rivals Fiorentina.

In the National Team

Ambrosini is a former national player. His international debut was in April 1999 against Croatia. At the 2002 World Cup, he was unable to participate due to a knee injury. For the Euro 2004 and 2006 World Cup, he was not nominated. For this he took part in the 2008 European Championships Italy and came in all four games for use.
