Massimo Girotti

Massimo Girotti ( born May 18, 1918 in Mogliano, Macerata, † January 5, 2003 in Rome ) was an Italian actor.

Life

Girotti first studied engineering and was a successful polo and swimming star. In 1939 he moved into the film compartment. He quickly became a leading performer in Italy, not least because of his good looks and his sportsmanship. He played in films by Roberto Rossellini, Luchino Visconti and Vittorio De Sica. In the 1950s, Girotti played in many histories - sandals - monumental and religious films. But in the 1960s, he continued to play, especially in this genre, now increasingly in supporting roles. In the 1970s he was able to give life in several major films profiled secondary characters. Between 1940 and 2003, played Girotti in about 120 film and television productions.
