Massimo Podenzana

Massimo Podenzana ( born July 29, 1961 in La Spezia ) is an Italian former racing driver and current sports director.

As an amateur Massimo Podenzana was especially successful in the team time trial. The UCI Road World Championships 1985 in Giavere del Montello, he finished with the Italian team finished third. The following year he was in Colorado Springs with the Italian team vice-world champion, came in second at the Baby Giro and won the Giro della Valli Aretini.

From 1987 to 2001 Podenzana was a cyclist. In 1993 and 1994 he was Italian champion in the road race. In 1993 he won the Gran Premio Città di Camaiore, 1994 Trofeo Melinda and the 1995 Giro di Toscana. Five times he competed in the Tour de France; In 1996 he won the 15th stage.
