Master of the Playing Cards

The Master of the Playing Cards, Playing Cards and Master (English: Master of the Playing Cards ), works for 1425-50 in the Rhineland, was an anonymous German letter printer, engraver, painter and goldsmith.

The Master is a Notnamen after his major work, a sequence of playing cards in copperplate, named. He is ever attributed to the oldest engraved (before 1440) card game.
