Master of the Rings

Occupation

Master of the Rings is the sixth studio album by the band Helloween. It was released in 1994 by Castle Communications.

Music style

Helloween's sixth studio album Master of the Rings is the result of a reaction to the Chameleon almost suffered End of career: The band goes with a new singer and drummer deliberately back to the power metal and moves with the conceptual Master of the Rings seen in the vicinity of the successful Keeper of the Seven Keys albums.

Importance

After the Chameleon album the band is facing a shambles: drummer and founding member Ingo Schwichtenberg had to leave the band due to his schizophrenia disorder even before the tour in 1993. Strong tensions among the band members led to the separation of Michael Kiske. Likewise, EMI releases the band from their contract. As a new singer Andi Deris and is committed as a drummer Uli Kusch. The music is arranged and rehearsed in just two weeks, based on the original sound of the group, sounds by new musicians, not like the early works, but reveals its own identity.
